- For cases in which customers cannot provide their own artwork, or it is not perfected or suitable for our processes (for example, we require vector artwork for silk-screening, and not bitmap/raster for screenprinting; digital printing, however does not have this limitation), we offer artwork generation and cleanup services
- Printec performs a film separation process once the artwork is finalized, and selects appropriate screen sizes, meshes, emulsion types and gauges, sheet sizes and so on that are best suited for processing that particular design.
- We custom formulate our decorative inks per the customer’s specification, whether by matching to a selected PMS number or other sample chip.
- PRINTEC designs the necessary tooling (2D and 3D), determining the most suitable type of tool depending on the needs. Steel-rule dies are the most common. Hard-tooling is available for tighter tolerances and high-volume designs, though most expensive. We also create laser-cutting files for parts that are to be laser-cut instead of die-cut.
- For embossing needs and for polydome designs, PRINTEC designs CNC-milled and magnesium-etched tools.
- PRINTEC engineers and builds assembly fixtures internally as needed to aid assembly, helping to improve registration and efficiency. Such process optimization efforts lead to increased quality and diminished costs.
